SEATTLE, May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Getty Images, Inc. , the world's leading imagery creator and distributor, today announced "Change Me," a new
initiative designed to harness the power of images to help enact change in our world. Partnering with Richard
Gere and Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, an organization dedicated to
educating and mobilizing people in the fight against the three diseases, Getty Images' "Change Me" presents a
forum in which people use powerful images to share their thoughts on how to make the world a better place.

Supporters worldwide can join this online community and participate in the "Change Me" program by visiting
http://www.gettyimages.com/changeme, selecting an inspiring image, and describing why they feel the image has
the power to change perceptions. For each submission, Getty Images will donate $10 to Friends of the Global
Fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Richard Gere, entertainment icon and global activist has taken on a leading role in the "Change Me" program to
encourage others to join the online community, express their personal reactions to imagery and mobilize people
to make an impact.

"These diseases are all too easy to put out of our minds, but 'Change Me' uses powerful images to create an
experience of personal reflection and commitment to change," said Richard Gere. "Through this online
community, we have the power to make a personal statement that can influence people around the globe while
benefiting a tremendous cause, Friends of the Global Fight."

"Throughout history, imagery has proven to be an astounding political and social force -- affecting change and
bringing the world together through one universal language," said Jonathan Klein, CEO and co-founder of Getty
Images. "Imagery not only educates, it can shake people out of apathy. Through the power of imagery, our goal
is to begin an online dialogue with pictures that will serve as a catalyst for change around the world."

"'Change Me' is unlike any other campaign I have seen and we value Getty Images for leveraging the power of
images to help benefit Friends of the Global Fight," said Jack Valenti, President of Friends of the Global Fight
Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. "'Change Me' truly provides people a simple yet meaningful way to
make a difference in the world -- and I hope that people will take a moment to get involved."
